New Baptist Hymnal - This hymnal has been a project of Lifeway for the past couple of years. It has a balance of music form hymns to worship songs and praise choruses, all that we are currently using in our worship at First Baptist. Thanks to a generous gift by a church member, we have purchased these for our sanctuary. If you can read those "black dots and lines" on the page, I encourage you to take full advantage of this music ministry tool. We will still be offering all of our worship on the screen.
Children's Choir - We are having two choirs for our grade school children this year. Grades 103 will make up our Younger Children's Choir, lead by Bro. Dan, and will meet in room #19 (Northwest corner of the campus). Then our older ones, Grade 4-6 will make up the other Children's Choir, lead by Bro. Ellis. They will meet in the choir room. Both will meet at 4:15 on Wednesday afternoon. It is going to be a great year.
Triple L is planning a trip to Atlanta October 6-9. We will be visiting several attractions: Atlanta Zoo, World of Coca-Cola, Georgia Aquarium, CNN Studios, Fernbank Natural Museum, and Atlanta History Center. Cost for this trip is $300. A deposit of $150 will reserve you a seat. The balance is due on August 24th. Sign up now by the water fountain. It's going to be a great trip.
